Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders?

Quranic Miracles in the field of Plate Tectonics in Geology, [13:41] Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? And Allah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account.

According to the thoery of plate tectonics that became widely accepted in the 1960’s, the earth’s surface is composed of tectonic plates that move slowly in three different ways, either in opposite parallel, approaching each other (converging) or moving away from each other (diverge).

So how could a man over 1400 years ago talk about this subject!

According to Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, during earth’s creation, earth was totally submerged under water until a small piece of land rose above the surface where Mecca is, from which the Almighty spread the land.

In sorat Al-Raad الرعد, the almighty said: [13:3] And it is He who spread the earth and placed therein firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates; He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought  [13:4] And within the land are neighboring plots and gardens of grapevines and crops and palm trees, [growing] several from a root or otherwise, watered with one water; but We make some of them exceed others in [quality of] fruit. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason.

[13:41] Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? And Allah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account.

And again, in sorat The Prophets الأنبياء, the Almighty said [21:44] But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? So is it they who will overcome?

The above verses and in a few words, describe the entire theory of plate tectonics in precise details, not just that, but describe events that take place at 7,000 meters below sea level in the middle of the Atlantic ocean and at 11,000 meters below sea level in the Pacific Ocean in the Mariana Trench.

So how could a man over 1400 years ago talk about this subject? The answer is: [2:252] These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you, [O Muhammad], in truth. And indeed, you are from among the messengers.
